Processing Facilities

CHRC operates four processing plants that offer our customers a secure source of quality fiber. This includes Capitol Fiber, where we source material and coordinate commodity sales. This facility is a joint venture between the Washington Post Company and Canusa Corporation. In addition to processing the waste fiber generated by the Washington Post and its affiliate printing operations, this plant processes fibers and commingled containers from other area suppliers, including local municipalities.

CHRC also actively pursues the placement of balers and related processing equipment at third party or joint venture facilities. We have been able to provide our clients with the necessary equipment to properly prepare material for market. Currently, CHRC oversees multiple installations, with our investment ranging from $50,000 to well over $1 million per facility. In joint venture scenarios, the company also is able to provide accounting and consulting services from our staff of Certified Public Accountants and other management professionals.
